In 2001 at Nellis AFB, The Edgers Barbershop started as a word-of-mouth operation ran by Zach Hastings in the F-16 Maintenance unit. When airmen needed a convenient cut to stay in regs, Zach would pull out his trimmers and go to work. From then his craft grew, and during his 2018 deployment to Kuwait, Zach’s skills flourished as he cut the hair for his entire unit. More recently when barbershops closed for the COVID-19 Pandemic, Zach started providing haircuts for his fellow Dayton policemen. After cutting hair for many in the Dayton Police Department, Zach decided to obtain his license, retire from public service and open The Edgers Barbershop.
